Launched in 2015, SDSN Youth is one of the world's largest networks of young leaders with the mission of shaping a sustainable world for future generations. SDSN Youth is run by a network of volunteers passionate about advocating for the SDGs in their cities, campuses, countries, and regions.

With young people making up nearly half of the world's population, SDSN Youth's vision is to meaningfully engage them to contribute to sustainable development. The program brings its mission to life through three interconnected pillars: (1) capacity-building initiatives, (2) spaces and communities that amplify youth voices, and (3) a global network of networks. Over the years, SDSN Youth's activities have engaged thousands of young people across more than 100 countries worldwide.

A Youth Vision for the World’s Future

In partnership with the Ford Foundation, this project aims to gather and assess global youth perspectives through a series of regional dialogues focused on gender equality, climate change, and the future of work. Moving beyond consultation toward meaningful participation, the project will also channel youth voices into high-level policy processes, ensuring their perspectives inform decision-makers at the international level.

The Vatican Youth Symposium

The Vatican Youth Symposium is an annual gathering of young leaders and experts from around the world, discussing and generating solutions for the most urgent issues of humanity. Over the years, the Symposium has developed into a leading global forum for young leaders in sustainable development and an intergenerational platform for building social movements.

The Local Pathways Fellowship

This training program and peer-to-peer learning network provide young leaders around the world with the tools, a guiding framework for action, and connections to leading urban development experts and practitioners to understand how to localize SDG 11 in their cities.

Youth Global Networks

Regional and National Youth Networks are embedded within their corresponding SDSN National or Regional Network. Their work focuses on localizing sustainable solutions for youth and ensuring their meaningful engagement in advancing the SDGs.
